Bat Conservation at CNHP
Jeremy Siemers and Rob Schorr attended the Western Bat Working Group meeting that was hosted in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While there, Jeremy Siemers co-presented a poster with Colorado Parks of Wildlife on population monitoring of Townsend’s big-eared bats near Carbondale, Colorado. Rob Schorr presented his work with Siemers studying little brown bat populations in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Schorr was able to host a booth at WBWG engaging biologists with his Climbers for Bat Conservation program, which may be expanding to other western states. Besides getting an opportunity to present the bat research CNHP is doing, Schorr and Siemers were able to interact with biologists from throughout the West and develop new opportunities to collaborate.
