Colorado Statewide Natural Heritage Survey
(SNHS)
Engagement
Community Scientists:
Please join CNHP for an iNaturalist training on Thursday, March 27 at 3:30 PM. We are seeking community scientists to help collect plant, animal, insect, wetland, and other habitat data as part of our Statewide Natural Heritage Survey. The SNHS will enhance our understanding of Colorado's biodiversity by identifying key species, assessing habitat conditions, and exploring under-surveyed regions. CNHP is starting its second year of the statewide survey, and we would appreciate your involvement as community scientists in our upcoming field season.
We are offering a Zoom option, along with an in-person option for those near Fort Collins. If you plan to come to campus, please allow extra time for parking. HERE is a link to our meeting location in Smith Natural Resources building (room #142) and options for parking, bicycling, and other transit. If you plan to attend in person, we recommend that you bring your laptop (if you have one) along with your phone to access settings that are not available in the iNaturalist app. Note: iPhone users should download "iNaturalist Next" and Android users should download "iNaturalist" ahead of time.
