My name is Anessa and I am a fourth year Wildlife Biology major. In the beginning, I did not know what to expect, but every week, I have traveled to a new part of Colorado. I have seen many rare and/or endemic plant species and I am very grateful for that tremendous experience.
I have been to places that the public has no clue even existed. Not only have I learned a ton of new information about the environment, but I have also made new friends. It was wonderful to meet people who enjoy being out in nature just as much, if not more, than I do. The CNHP crew made me feel like I was a part of an amazing family. Everyone was so friendly and understanding, which helped transition from moving from Alabama to Colorado. This opportunity has helped me experience what it is like to be a rancher, botanist, ecologist, and zoologist. I have learned more from this internship than I have ever learned in a classroom. I highly recommend this chance of a lifetime.
