Browse the databaseThe Colorado Plant Database is a hub for research-based information on the identification, ecology and human connections for more than 1,000 Colorado native plants as well as non-native invasive weeds. While most resources listed within are accurate, updates to the database are needed and will be addressed in 2024. In the meantime, we recommend you cross reference the information you find here with Flora of Colorado 2nd Edition by Jennifer Ackerfield, until we can finalize these updates. About the Colorado Native Plant Database Data Portal
This project is sponsored by the Colorado Native Plant Masters Program and the Colorado Natural Heritage Program. The data portal allows registered users to print plant manuals and reports. It also allows users with edit permission to edit plant details and add new plants to the Colorado Native Plant Database.
The Colorado Native Plant Master Program, part of CSU Extension, is a new way to learn about native plants, sustainable landscaping and invasive weeds.
Learn more about the Colorado Native Plant Masters ProgramThe Colorado Natural Heritage Program tracks and ranks Colorado's rare and imperiled species and habitats, and provides information and expertise on these topics to promote the conservation of Colorado's valuable biological resources. We share information with a wide range of stakeholders in partnerships that work to ensure the Colorado’s biodiversity resources are not diminished. CNHP also offers a wide range of related services including biological monitoring, research, mapping, and conservation planning services.
