{"id":3776,"date":"2009-08-20T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-08-20T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cnhp.colostate.edu\/threatened-and-endangered-plant-species-data-development-and-field-surveys\/"},"modified":"2021-06-09T14:57:05","modified_gmt":"2021-06-09T14:57:05","slug":"threatened-and-endangered-plant-species-data-development-and-field-surveys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cnhp.colostate.edu\/cnhpblog\/2009\/08\/20\/threatened-and-endangered-plant-species-data-development-and-field-surveys\/","title":{"rendered":"Threatened and Endangered Plant Species Data Development and Field Surveys"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jill Handwerk and Peggy Lyon, CNHP Botanists<\/p>\n<p>An on-going partnership between CNHP, the Colorado Natural Areas Program, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service develops and manages biological and conservation data on federally-listed Threatened, Endangered, and Candidate plant species occurring in Colorado, integrating all element occurrence data into a single comprehensive source.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7154\" src=\"https:\/\/cnhp.colostate.edu\/cnhpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2018\/11\/CHGY_4_27_07_individual7.jpg\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\" alt=\"Cryptantha gypsophila\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cnhp.colostate.edu\/cnhpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2018\/11\/CHGY_4_27_07_individual7.jpg 320w, https:\/\/cnhp.colostate.edu\/cnhpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2018\/11\/CHGY_4_27_07_individual7-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><span style=\"font-size:78%\"><span style=\"font-style: italic\">Cryptantha gypsophila<\/span><\/span>\n<\/div>\n<p>In 2008, element occurrence data for eight threatened and endangered plant species and one petitioned species were updated: <span style=\"font-style: italic\">Astragalus humillimus<\/span>, <span style=\"font-style: italic\">Eutrema penlandii<\/span>,  <span style=\"font-style: italic\">Sclerocactus mesae-verde<\/span>, <span style=\"font-style: italic\">Spiranthes diluvialis<\/span>, and <span style=\"font-style: italic\">Oenothera acutissima<\/span> (petitioned).
