Extermination of Bats

This species is not often found using human-made roosts in Colorado (public health records) and in CO is more often found in canyon and foothill terrain (Ftizgerald et al 1994).  Extermination of all bats in a roost may have a negative effect on the local population, but will likely not have an effect on the statewide population.
