Species Profile
Myotis yumanensis is known to use caves and tunnels in CO, sometimes consistng of many individuals (Adams 1993; Fitzgerald et al. 1994; Siemers 2002). As with Tadarida, small caves that recieve little if any recreational disturbance are probably the type most commonly used by this species. Few caves in CO are currently gated but if such practices become common and are implemented incorrectly this threat has potential to impact local populations of M. yumanensis.
