Species Profile
This species adapts well to urban environments as they are known to readily use human-made roosts so may not be as impacted by activites of urbanization as some other species. While research has shown urban development to be deterimental to bats (Geggie and Fenton 1985, Kurta and Teramino 1992) and may result in declines in overall bat abundance and diversity (Pierson 1998) many speceis adapt much more readily.
