Species Profile
While TABR readily uses human-made roosts (Kunz and Reynolds 2003) and is known to form very large maternity roosts, their distribution is in southwest CO and does not overlap with many major urban centers. However due to the small number of known large roosts in Colorado (i.e. large maternity roost in Grand Junction), the loss of a single roost could be significant to the statewide population (Adams and Thiebalt 1994). Use of buildings in Colorado seems to be most prevalant in fall migration. TABR potentially uses bridges in Colorado as they are used throughout their range.
