Tree or water habitat edges near urban areas have been shown to be important to LACI in CO (Everette et al. 2001) and cutting down trees for exapnding urban areas could affect the quality of migration habitat. However, LACI are migratory, widespread, solitary and not typically associated with urban areas. Females tend to bear their young farther north than CO so the effects of urbanization may not be as critical to reproduction, etc.
