Species Profile
Very little is known about this species roosting habits in CO. In 2006, Chung-MacCoubrey (2008) tracked one individual to three rock crevice roosts in the Book Cliffs north of Mack, CO. As with other Myotis species, surface disturbances for this species when utilizing rock crevices is probably minimal due to the remote nature of these roosts in general and the slow development of the surface activities which should give individuals warning. Loss of habitat to water impoundment could be significant in localized areas but this threat has rarely occured over the last several decades.
