As this species is rarely found in urban areas, contamination from urban areas is less of a risk than for other species, and likely only a small amount of the state-wide population will be impacted. However, bats have been shown to accumulate contaminants (Clark 1981, Hickey et al. 2001) and the effects of contaminants from urban areas can be wide-ranging.
